Top 50
at the Winter Olympic Games

Alina Stremous

Born 11.07.1995.

First time when I went skiing was at the age of 3. However, being a hyperactive child I started a biathlon at the age of 14. I was interested in sports at all and tried to find myself in figure skating, dancing, skiing. But finally, have been watching a biathlon on TV for all these years, I fell in love with this kind of sport.
When I was young I dreamed to go to the Olympic Games once. For this reason I started to work hard on the trainings and climb to the top step by step, achieving small goals and bigger, keepeng in mind the biggest goal of all my sports life -Olympic Medal and to become the best athlete in the world.
My first big international experience began at the end of 2019/ 2020 season European Championship in Belarus . Next season was a “Covid-year”. Anyway 1 year later I managed to show good results during the World Cup. Top 20 and top 10 later, getting into the first ever for Moldova the last 10 years masstart. While European championship in Arber brought me a Gold and Silver medals. Thus I made my big breakthrough for Moldova. The icing on the cake of the season 2021/2022 became a qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing, where I continued to shock the biathlon world by top 10 in sprint and qualified to massstart. That was an incredible moments of the season that I will remember forever.
My goal for the upcoming season 2022/2023 is to get first ever podium in World Cup and also fight for the podium in the World Championship 2023 in Oberhof!
The thing that I liked this season is to stay focused during the whole season if you want to be the best athlete in the world. That’s why in my everyday life I just try to focus on myself, on small things, that help me to get better day by day.
